DCU Library launches IReL
On the
16th of December 2004, the Library held
a special event to formally launch the
SFI/HEA funded IReL initiative. The event
was a great success with over 60
university staff and researchers in
attendance.
Following a brief address by Director of
Library Services, Paul Sheehan,
attendees were invited to the first of a
series of drop-in database sessions

Information literacy update
In the first three months
of this academic year (Oct-Dec), over
4,000 (undergraduate & postgraduate)
students attended
Library Information
Literacy skills sessions delivered
by our team of Subject Librarians.
Attendance at classes is higher than
last year, and almost doubles the
numbers attending three years ago.
